Any project is only as good as the tools used to complete it.  You can have the best lumber, a great architect and a gorgeous view but if you don’t bring a hammer and some nails you won’t build a house.

That’s why the 200+ Zero Point choices on WW Freestyle are so important to the foundation of my wellness and weightless journey project.  I can start a meal, bulk up a meal (#bulkitup) or even make a meal out of this massive list of choices.  I just added 25 random zero Smart Point foods to a permutation calculator and it stopped me at over 40,620 combinations!

For the complete list of 200+ Zero Point Foods check out our WW Chat #50 Welcome to Freestyle here!

One of the most important tools in your WW toolbox is a “zero point base” that can be quickly and easily turned into a combination of things.  We use soup a lot as a meal, an add on and in this case a building block.  This zero point soup is delicious on it’s own but check out WW Chat #106:  Enjoy Food Freedom! for more ideas

So my recipe builder still isn’t working but y’all need this recipe so here goes old school!

Zero Point Soup Base: 0 WW Freestyle Smart Points

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups frozen Pictsweet Mixed vegetables (or similar)
  • 3 cups canned tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 6 cups water
  • 3 cups chopped uncooked cabbage (all varieties)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 4 cups Trader Joes Organic Low Sodium Vegetable Broth (or similar)

Directions:
Add all ingredients to either a slow cooker, pressure cooker or large stock pot.  For a slow cooker, cook on low for 6-8 hours.  For stock pot bring to a boil, cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium low.  Cook at least one hour or until cabbage is tender.

Freezes well, use within 6 months.  Vegan, vegetarian, or add your own protein, rice, beans and of course your favorite seasoning!
