Prime Day 2024 is here! Who doesn’t like sitting back in your easy chair and doing a little armchair shopping? Call it Christmas in July. Name it Prime Day. Whatever it is, today is a great day to save on items that could save you time, make life in the kitchen a little easier, get you in the mood to prep, and hopefully you will actually use!

I was skeptical about how this would work, but it was so good that I even ordered a second one for work. We have so many veggies coming in from the garden along with our normal normal amount of fruit on the counter that it’s fruit fly central right now. I have literally tried every other gnat and flying bug trap there is. Sticky strips didn’t catch anything but my hair as I walked by. Citrus smelling countertop catchers just sat mostly empty. #5 Jordan’s Skinny Syrup Mermaid and Unicorn Bundle – Trust me. ORDER. THIS. NOW. Before they sell out. I can’t tell you how many times we waited and waited for the best deal and then were disappointed to have to wait even longer because these top shelf favorites from Jordan’s were sold out before we clicked the button. #6 GripStic Bag Closures – I first saw these at a home show years ago and thought wow, hokiest gimmick ever. The guy was putting cereal in a zipper lock bag, then using a GripStic and adding milk to the top before closing to show how the “stic” would keep the liquid separated from the dry. I had to pass him every time I went to the restroom all weekend long. Ugh. I finally said sure, show me. I now own 3 sets of these, have purchased them for all my family members and even my Sunday School teacher’s wife. Wow they work is an understatement! You have to hold your mouth just right the first time you use them, but don’t give up…they DO work.

#9 Kitchen Mama Battery Operated Can Opener – The original purchase for me came out of a panicked necessity during one Sunday night’s chat. I was about an hour and a half from “show time” and realized we didn’t have a can opener at the new showroom. Like at all. I called my son-in-law Allan because he loves to run little errands like that, you know the saving your favorite mother in law because she didn’t quite plan ahead kind.
