Houston, we have a problem. I saw cute girl scouts in front of the Walgreens between work and home on Saturday. Then I was verbally assaulted by even cuter tiny girl scouts in front of my grocery store today.
A box of the most popular annual delights measures up like this:
Trefoils = 36 points per box
Tagalongs = 36 points per box
Do Si Dos = 40 points per box
Samoas = 60 points per box
Thin Mints = 64 points per box
I think you see where I’m headed where this PSE!!
This week’s Good Egg Award goes to Jackie in Tennessee. Jackie had a normal visit to Trader Joe’s last week and found a snack she decided to try. A new to her package of crackers that were only 4 points per serving of I believe 20 something crackers. When she got home she tried a few. A little while later she snacked on another handful. By the end of the day she was at the end of the box. Haven’t we all done that? Well, Miss Jackie tracked that box of crackers. And then you know what she did? She planned out the next few days with low or no point meals and got herself right back on track. You’re a good egg Jackie! Stay tuned this week over in our If You Have an Egg Facebook group for information on how you could be next week’s Good Egg Award recipient!
Love the way you move!
I heard a sad but familiar story from one of our in person members this week who said she was having trouble seeing movement as anything other than punishment. She went to a high school where only the best of the best really got PE and everyone else was tortured doing exercises they were not good at, didn’t enjoy and then you had to shower in front of other adolescent girls….sound familiar?
Did you know?
In just November of last year, Men’s Health Magazine said these exact words “Turns out, enjoying yourself really could be the secret sauce for your training”. As a matter of fact, the most eye opening result of their study was that participants who exercised based on pleasure actually attended 77% more sessions that the participants who were given standardised instructions and advised of the health benefits.
When you think about exercise what things bring you joy?
- Exercising alone or in a group?
- Sweating or still being able to carry on a conversation?
- Using equipment or doing something that doesn’t require any?
- What other things?
Conversely what things absolutely do NOT bring you joy?
- Discomfort?
- Time it takes?
- Lack of support?
- Lack of ability?
- Expense?
- Even fear?
Now what movement can you think of that hits all the marks?
Remember, according to Men’s Health you are 77% more likely to move if it brings you joy!

Who can tell us a STAR goal they have for tracking this week? Remember it needs to be:
S-pecific so you will know if you did it
T-ruly doable in a week’s time
A-ctionable meaning you will DO something and not not do something
R-elevant to your journey!
Half Baked Harvest Recipe Test!
Even during the Super Bowl, we are going to have fun with a new recipe test!
Someone sent me this recipe in hopes that I will be able to make it a little more WW friendly! The link to this recipe is from Half Baked Harvest for Frozen Chocolate Banana Yogurt Clusters!
We have been talking about taking recipes from websites, and I tried it out for this one. It worked! I went to the “import from website” option, saved as is, and then I saved the edited version as a COPY. So I will have both available once I get the WW friendly one typed up!
The servings size is 3 clusters and they are originally 9 pts. That’s so many! The lightened WW version I made are 5 pts for 3 clusters.
The ingredients you need are:
- 6 bananas (makes about 3.5 cups of slices)
- 1 cup of plain greek yogurt
- 2.5 tbsp honey or maple syrup (if desired)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- .5 cup of creamy peanut butter (also optional)
- 12oz of semi sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- some flaky sea salt
Here are the major changes/edits I made:
- I did no honey or maple syrup
- Instead of the peanut butter, I used PB2
- I used nonfat plain greek yogurt
Are there any other recipes you want to get the WW edited treatment? Let me know in the comments below!
