WW News March 2021:
- There are two new ways to access more workshops and coach led events. Log onto your WW account from a desktop → Go to the upper right corner next to where you sign in and click down on “Attend” → Unlimited Workshops and choose Virtual or In Person to find a workshop that is for you → or Click Digital 360 to choose from so many LIVE topic specific coach led events! (from an iPhone the workshops are under a widget on the homepage titled “Virtual Workshops are now more flexible!”)
- FREE SHIPPING! For a limited time WW is offering Free Shipping on many of their best selling items when you order through the app…just use code FREE4ME at checkout!
- One of the Wellness Check-ins in Knoxville has been cancelled due to low attendance. Go to WW → Connect → and find the Kingston Pike – W Knoxville, TN group for more info. You can also join me on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm eastern in this same virtual workshop with hostess Gwen, my fave WW’er and the inspiration for the name of our group If You Have an Egg! East TN Lifetime Members who were in good standing when COVID started have had their membership extended again until the end of June 2021. You will need to attend a Wellness Workshop during the month of June to continue those privileges.
- The month’s theme is “Do What Works” and focuses on recognizing that each person’s journey will be completely different, we just have to customize it to fit us. This is not a “one size fits all” program but WW is definitely an “all sizes, make and models fit!” way of life!
- Jordan’s Skinny Syrups is coming out with more amazing flavors and combos than we can stock at KC Kitchen Center so if you need something we don’t have you can order it with a 10% discount using code EGGLADY10 at checkout!
- Personal News: we are beginning to receive a tiny stipend from YouTube affiliate marketing each time you watch one of our On Demand Chat or recipe videos all the way through. It doesn’t cost you a dime but soooo helps us to continue to bring you great content. And the more Subscribers we have the more you help…so please SUBSCRIBE, WATCH, and SHARE!
Last week during Chat #213 “The Scale Is Just a Snapshot” we recognized that the scale is a piece of equipment, it’s an inanimate object that just takes a snapshot reading of a moment in time. It doesn’t have feelings. It’s not judgmental.
The scale doesn’t get to tell you what kind of week you had any more than your toaster can tell if you’re a good person (we can thank Gwen’s mom for this bit of knowledge!)
So when you get the “your weight is up” or “you didn’t get the loss you thought you would” and especially when you’re riding the “same five pounds lost and gained train” what do you do?
- PICK 3 – pick 3 things that HAVE changed this month besides your weight
- Think! – How did those three things impact your journey this month?
- Set a Reminder – How will you remind yourself to pay attention to those non scale victories (NSV’s) in the future?
Your homework for last week’s chat #NonScaleVictory was to choose something from the past month that is a reflection of how you are really doing on your WW and wellness journey. Type it, snap it, however you want to share it and then tag me for your next cool badge! Let’s see how you did!
- Mary Ann was able to get more than 4 hours sleep a night at least 3 nights this week; she took a few recipes and made them WW friendly; AND she was able to wash her car (side note, apparently it really needed it hahaha)!
- Tina asked if completing the whole chat within the same week 2 weeks in a row counts as an NSV 😂 Cause that’s all I got for this last month. Been a rough one and she’s trying to get back on track.
- Lynn can cut her own toenails…and still breathe! Before losing some weight she couldn’t even get close enough to her toes to see them much less trim her toenails!
Bravo, you did it!
This Week’s Topic: Set Goals That Really Work!
I set goals at work, at home and in my weight loss journey that some would call “lofty”, others would chuckle and reply “good luck with that”. Setting and achieving a goal has nothing to do with luck. But there are 4 easy reminders from WW that will work in ALL areas of your life if we will pause and use them.
I made you a little poem 🙂
“To reach a goal no matter big or small, just check off these 4 things to reach them all!”
- Specific – Set goals that are specific like “I will track 3 days this week” not too broad to track like “I would like to track more”
- Truly Doable – It should be something you can actually do. If you have bad knees don’t set a goal for running a marathon…how about setting a personal best number of laps in the pool instead?
- Active – Make it something you will DO, not something you WON’T DO. Rather than say “I won’t eat after dinner” an active goal would be “I will brush my teeth after dinner to signal food time is done for the day”
- Relevant – This is about YOU. Not me. Not her. Not even the person you love most in this world. YOU. Don’t set a goal that’s right for someone else. This one is all you baby!
This Week’s Homework: #STAR
Your homework for this week #STAR is to set a goal that is YOUR goal and using the 4 descriptive terms S(pecific) T(ruly Doable) A(ctive) and R(elevant) type it, snap it, however you want to share it and then tag me for your next cool badge!
Don’t forget to do your homework #STAR and tag me when you share on social media!

Extra Credit: Everything But Tha Bagel WHIPPED Cream Cheese!
Usually in this portion of our chat we do something a little more fun – a recipe, a fun food find, etc… This week we’re doing it all!
I’ve got a couple of exciting food finds for you this week:
- At Food City I found Chicken of the Sea packaged wild-caught pink salmon (multiple flavors available) – they’re only 1 SP per pack
- This next one is perfect if you’re doing keto along with WW, but even if you’re not Lewis Keto Bread is a great option for when you’re craving bread. 1 slice is 0 SP (on Purple)!! For two slices, it’s still only 1 SP.
You’ve been following along with me on my first attempt at fermentation in my ChouAmi fermentation jar and it’s finally time to see how it went! I used shredded red and green cabbage with Trader Joe’s veggie mix and pink Himilayan sea salt.
Even though I don’t quite know what it’s supposed to taste like, I think my first venture went pretty well! The result tastes just like pickled cabbage and although I expected it to be limp, it’s surprisingly still very crunchy. I’m excited to figure out what I’m going to eat my creation with!
And finally, we’re going to make two delicious recipes with whipped cream cheese- a WW-friendly version of an everything bagel with cream cheese and a pepper jelly cream cheese!

Looking for the pepper jelly cream cheese recipe referenced in this post. Thanks
Sue Anna, the pepper jelly was made by a friend but you can use any commercial (or farmers market!) pepper jelly and mix it with the whipped cream cheese recipe minus the seasoning. It’s delicious!!
Thanks so much!
