Last week we sprang into summer just in time for Independence Day. Independence from the fear of staying home. Freedom from the bondage of toilet paper and hand sanitizer shortages.
Your homework last week was to #springintosummer by telling us 3 things that didn’t go as planned this spring and how you are using them to spring your way into summer! Let’s see how you did:
- Vickie has decided to live each day to the fullest – praying, eating healthy, and taking nothing for granted!
- Mary Ann’s springing into her top 3:
- Since she can’t go to her exercise class she found one on an access channel
- She wasn’t getting enough water so she bought a new thermal bottle and is drinking two of them a day
- The toughest one is not being able to see her own grandchildren so she is doing Duo Call so she can see and talk to them!
- Lynn feels like spring never came so she’s going to pretend it’s spring and stop and smell the flowers more. Like a lot of us, she’s feeling isolated so she’s going to make an effort to call and check on friends this week. And it seems that some surprises have been jumping into her grocery orders. So this week she only ordered healthy items so she can stay on track!
Bravo ladies, you nailed it!

Extra Credit: Post-Pandemic Aldi Haul
Who doesn’t love Aldi? This week I finally ventured back into the store (with proper precautions, of course). Here were a couple of things I noticed to help you prep for your next trip:
- We were allowed to bring in our reusable bags
- They were still doing quarters for carts
- In Tennessee, masks in public have been mandated so nearly everyone was masked in the store
- Hand sanitizer and wipes were available just inside the door
- Stickers were placed on the floor to ensure proper social distancing
Check out the haul below! Keep in mind, I’m on Green so all point values listed below are for GREEN.
