Air Fryer Apple Fritters

Comments are Disabled In the spirit of transparency, I do receive commission from mentioning some of the products in this post. Any commission I earn comes at no additional cost to you and I’ll never recommend products that I don’t use, love and believe in.

The only problem I see with these is you will want to eat them all.  At 1 SP each Blue, Green and Purple that’s not necessarily a bad thing…I mean even if you lose your mind and can’t stop it’s only 12 points for the entire batch.  And they are apples so it’s healthy right?

Air Fryer Apple Fritters

In case you are a visual learner I also included this in one of our Live Chats so you could see how they are made.  But they are really so simple you could almost do it blindfolded 🙂

This recipe is sooo easy.  It starts with my also super easy Baked Apples recipe made in an air fryer so be sure and make an extra batch so you can have them on hand and ready to go!

So yummy.  So easy.  Be sure and make an extra batch of my Air Fryer Baked Apples so you  have them on hand and ready!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • 1/2 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt
  • 1 air fryer baked apple
  • 1 tsp Truvia Baking Blend
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp sugar free maple flavor syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla or butter/vanilla flavoring

For "drizzle":

  • 1 Tbsp skim milk (or almond milk)
  • up to 2 Tbsp confectioner's sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Land O'Lakes Light Butter spread with canola oil (or similar)

Instructions

  1. Use a good quality apple corer
  2. For fritter dough combine all ingredients except the "drizzle" and the baked apple
  3. Gently mix and blend until all the lumps are out but do not overmix
  4. Dice the baked apple and gently fold into the fritter dough
  5. Spray the shallow pan that came with your Simple Living Products air fryer (or any air fryer safe pan) with non stick spray and drop the batter into heavy tablespoon blobs into pan without letting them touch each other
  6. Bake on 350 degrees for 8 minutes.  Turn at about 6 minutes if you left the baked apply schmutz in the pan so you sop up all the apple-y goodness!
  7. Remove and allow to cool before drizzling

For the "drizzle":

  1. Heat the butter until just melted
  2. Add skim milk
  3. Add powdered sugar while whisking with a fork until blended
  4. Allow to thicken and then drizzle away!

Notes

If you are not eating them all while they are hot, allow to completely cool before putting into an air tight container and storing for up to 3 days.  Freeze well for up to 2 weeks, reheat in the air fryer for best results for 3 minutes on 360 degrees
