WW News March 2021:

  • There are two new ways to access more workshops and coach led events. Log onto your WW account from a desktop →  Go to the upper right corner next to where you sign in and click down on “Attend” → Unlimited Workshops and choose Virtual or In Person to find a workshop that is for you → or Click Digital 360 to choose from so many LIVE topic specific coach led events! (from an iPhone the workshops are under a widget on the homepage titled “Virtual Workshops are now more flexible!”)
  • FREE SHIPPING! For a limited time WW is offering Free Shipping on many of their best selling items when you order through the app…just use code FREE4ME at checkout!
  • One of the Wellness Check-ins in Knoxville has been cancelled due to low attendance. Go to WW → Connect → and find the Kingston Pike – W Knoxville, TN group for more info. You can also join me on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm eastern in this same virtual workshop with hostess Gwen, my fave WW’er and the inspiration for the name of our group If You Have an Egg! East TN Lifetime Members who were in good standing when COVID started have had their membership extended again until the end of June 2021. You will need to attend a Wellness Workshop during the month of June to continue those privileges.
  • The month’s theme is “Do What Works” and focuses on recognizing that each person’s journey will be completely different, we just have to customize it to fit us. This is not a “one size fits all” program but WW is definitely an “all sizes, make and models fit!” way of life!
  • Jordan’s Skinny Syrups is coming out with more amazing flavors and combos than we can stock at KC Kitchen Center so if you need something we don’t have you can order it with a 10% discount using code EGGLADY10 at checkout!
  • Personal News: we are beginning to receive a tiny stipend from YouTube affiliate marketing each time you watch one of our On Demand Chat or recipe videos all the way through.  It doesn’t cost you a dime but soooo helps us to continue to bring you great content. And the more Subscribers we have the more you help…so please SUBSCRIBE, WATCH, and SHARE!

Last week during Chat #214 “Set Goals That Really Work!” we learned that setting and achieving a goal has nothing to do with luck. But there are 4 easy reminders from WW that will work in ALL areas of your life if we will pause and use them.

I made you a little poem 🙂

“To reach a goal no matter big or small, just check off these 4 things to reach them all!”

  1. Specific – Set goals that are specific like “I will track 3 days this week” not too broad to track like “I would like to track more”
  2. Truly Doable – It should be something you can actually do. If you have bad knees don’t set a goal for running a marathon…how about setting a personal best number of laps in the pool instead?
  3. Active – Make it something you will DO, not something you WON’T DO. Rather than say “I won’t eat after dinner” an active goal would be “I will brush my teeth after dinner to signal food time is done for the day”
  4. Relevant – This is about YOU. Not me. Not her. Not even the person you love most in this world. YOU. Don’t set a goal that’s right for someone else. This one is all you baby!

Your homework for last week’s chat #STAR was to set a goal that is YOUR goal and using the 4 descriptive terms S(pecific) T(ruly Doable) A(ctive) and R(elevant) type it, snap it, however you wanted to share it and then tag me for your next cool badge!

Let’s see how you did!

  • Sandy’s STAR goal was: Specific (chair yoga before bed) Truly Doable (she uses a chair!) Active (she is going to do it) Relevant (it helps HER sleep)
  • Lynn’s STAR goal was: Specific (have her last meal at 6pm) Truly Doable (she can prep dinner at 5:30 to be ready to eat at 6) Active (she set an alarm to remind her) Relevant (it helps her plan what SHE will have for dinner)
  • Michele’s STAR goal was: Specific (get more sleep, Michele if you are here how much is “more”?) Truly Doable (she can set an alarm to remind it’s time to wind down) Active (she will use the alarm on her phone to head to bed earlier) Relevant (will help with HER energy level and help HER make smart decisions on her weight loss journey!)

Bravo, you did it!

This Week’s Topic: Go To Food Solutions!

Last minute plan changes. Power outages. Shift at work runs over. You just get hungry. Sticky situations can come from nowhere and having a plan (even a simple one!) in your back pocket can make the difference between a nuisance and a nightmare.

Think of a recent situation where you thought “uh oh…X Y or Z is happening and I’m getting ready to make a bad decision”.  Then think of the same situation and how it could have had a different outcome with the right tools.

  • State Your Sticky:  What was the situation and how was it “sticky” for you? Maybe it was getting caught out away from the meal you had prepared and had waiting on you at home
  • Grab Your Go To:  Quick! What’s something you could do that doesn’t derail the original plan? In this situation maybe keep a list of quick low-point things you could grab like Chick-Fil-A Grilled Nuggets and a fruit cup, or a boiled egg and a banana from a gas station
  • Go Pro: Decide what your own strategies will be to prevent situations like this like always keeping a low point snack in your bag or gift cards to places that offer lower point options

This Week’s Homework: #GrabYourGoTo

Your homework for this week #GrabYourGoTo is to name a sticky situation, decide what your go to will be, and maybe even make a pro plan for how to handle it…then type it, snap it, however you want to share it and then tag me for your next cool badge!

Don’t forget to do your homework #GrabYourGoTo and tag me when you share on social media!

Extra Credit: Watergate Salad & Overnight Oats

If you haven’t checked your calendar recently – St. Patrick’s day is just a few days away! So in celebration we’re going to make two very green recipes in our extra credit this evening.

First off we’re going to make my Watergate Salad (which I affectionately call my “Weight Watchergate Salad”). It’s a delicious option for a quick, sweet treat! Be sure to head over and grab the full recipe here: http://www.ifyouhaveanegg.com/weight-watchergate-salad-3-freestyle-smart-points/

We’re also going to make this into some Watergate Salad Overnight Oats! As you all know, it took me quite awhile to get on the overnight oats train but it’s because I was using the wrong kind of oats – be sure to use old fashioned oats.
